Postfix è un server di posta SMTP facile da configurare, potente ed estremamente sicuro.
È finalmente stata rilasciata la versione 2.8.0 che apporta interessanti novità come l’inclusione del demone postscreen il cui compito è quello di posizionarsi di fronte al vero postfix ed intercettare spambot e zombie e lasciare le risorse alla vostra macchina per servire le richieste dei client legittimi. È stato aggiunto il supporto per il whitelisting DNS (permit_rhswl_client) e la possibilità di effettuare pattern matching sulle risposte dai DNS dei server con white/blacklist (reject_rhsbl_client zen.spamhaus.org=127.0.0.[1..10]).
Gli amministratori ora potranno anche appendere messaggi di testo alle risposte SMTP di reject “smtpd_reject_footer”. L’annuncio di questa nuova versione comunica anche che il supporto per la versione di Postfix 2.4 sta per terminare ed è arrivato il momento di aggiornare.
