Inizia così la news del rilascio della nuova release di test di Fedora Core 5.

Much later Russia and America have finally started cooperating in Earth’s adventures into space. Competition is good, but collaboration can by so much better.

Comunque, la distro funziona molto bene (la sto usando per scrivere questo post) ed è già disponibile per il download nei vari formati CD e DVD. Tra le novità a parte la ricompilazione di tutti i pacchetti con gcc 4.1, che aumenta le performance generali di sistema, e la presenza del supporto alla modalità hybernate per i portatili, è presente un nuovo fiammante Gnome 2.13.91 (penultima release prima dell’ufficiale 2.14) ed il supporto per la tecnologia XEN per i processori x86_64.
